My mind rejects that which causes pain and brings shame and then blames another for what I have done ...
My soul denies that which brought persecution to the Perfect One, yet embraces self-centered service as an acceptable sacrifice ...
My intellect tells me that the cross is a symbol of defeat and uneccessary suffering for a condition that doesn't exist ...
BUT
My heart tells me that the cross is the greatest representation of God's love for ME! ~ by Melvena L. Knight

Every one of us has done something that displeases God, but He loves us in spite of our sin and paid the debt required at the cross.
In fact, our admission of sin gives God permission to RESCUE us!
